YG Dallas reviews
Jackson was Scatterbrained at Worst
In all my years as a music teacher, I have been to a lot of concerts, and never have I seen a performer less prepared to give a performance. He admitted and joked about making a lot of mistakes in the words, having to stop and restart several times. He warmed up on stage, as he said. He did not have a setlist, priding himself on this. If he wasn't on drugs, maybe he should have been, joking about this. There wasn't a song before intermission that he didn't make a mistake in. He was alone on stage, except for one song when the guitar tech came out and played while YG was on the piano. All that said, YG plays the guitar and piano amazingly well. Each guitar was different in its own way. He had to find the right guitar for the right song, which may have been part of the problem. He had 20 guitars on stage, almost one for every song that he did. While he was doing this, the audience started yelling out the songs they wanted to hear, obviously confusing YG. They were trying to please them, and they just changed to heckling after a while. His voice is excellent.
